The Southern Columbia Area Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Dunmore Bucks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Southern Columbia Area sitting on six straight wins and Dunmore on nine.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Southern Columbia Area walked away with it. They came out on top against the Bald Eagles by a score of 18-8 on Friday.
It was another big night for Louden Murphy, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Murphy was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 69 yards. Southern Columbia Area also got a significant boost from Garrett Garcia, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 89 yards.
Meanwhile, Dunmore has more to be thankful for after their matchup against Camp Hill on Friday. Dunmore strolled past Camp Hill with points to spare, taking the game 41-25. 41 seems to be a good number for Dunmore as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Southern Columbia Area's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-1. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.9 points. As for Dunmore, their victory bumped their record up to 12-2.
Everything came up roses for Southern Columbia Area against Dunmore in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 as the squad secured a 56-19 victory. Will Southern Columbia Area repeat their success, or does Dunmore have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
