A Region 3A recap November 13, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in A Region 3A this week, Calvary Day beat Johnson County 40-14. The win marks eighth in a row for the the Cavaliers.
Portal and Montgomery County played the closest game in the league this week, with Portal eventually emerging with a 15-12 victory. Casey Jones ran for 80 yards in the win.
Hunter Hatley threw for 308 yards and 5 touchdowns. He went 17-28 with 1 interception.
Demetris Robertson was the best wideout in the league this week as Savannah Country Day beat Wheeler County. Robertson tallied 6 receptions for 191 yards. Ben Johnson helped Savannah Country Day's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 47 yards.
On the heels of Michael Peterson and Robert Heyward, Calvary Day has had great success on offense. Peterson leads the league in passing with 1,973 yards, while Heyward has rushed for 703 yards this season. The Hornets' Robertson leads the league in receiving yards with 556 on 36 catches.
Savannah Country Day took down the Bulldogs 45-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Hatley ran for 17 yards during the win.
