Boulder City hasn't had much luck against The Meadows School recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 3:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Boulder City got the win against Chaparral by a conclusive 12-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.
Will Teeples tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Gavin Robinson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Aiden Duke was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
Boulder City was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They are 8-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, The Meadows School waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Trojans with a sharp 11-1 win. The Meadows School's victory was all the more impressive since the Trojans were averaging only 3.6 runs allowed on the season.
Carson Rinetti made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Hudson Falb was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of The Meadows School's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 7-9 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Connor McGill, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
The Meadows School's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Boulder City, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
The Meadows School's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Boulder City hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .360.
