On Monday, the Corvian Community Cardinals took their game at home with ease, bagging a 49-3 victory over the Ballantyne Ridge Wolves. The Cardinals' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Corvian Community had a senior duo take command as Cam Johnson rushed for 88 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries and Noah Best rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Best got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run and that went for an incredible 74 yards. Another player making a difference was Ryan Del Bene, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Corvian Community was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 232 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

As for Ballantyne Ridge, they will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on September 20th.
