Baseball Recap: Perry Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Perry Central entered their tilt with East Marion on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They were the clear victors by a 16-5 margin over the Eagles. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Hayden Carr was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. He has become a key player for Perry Central: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise.

Perry Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .595. They are 7-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Perry Central's record is now 12-10. As for East Marion, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-16.

Looking ahead, Perry Central will be playing at home against Forrest County Agricultural at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
