The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Families Instructing Students HomeSchool has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Families Instructing Students HomeSchool still got an impressive performance from Melody Lee, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 19 rebounds. Lee scored a full 83.3% of Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's points, the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sarah Ranero, who scored four points.
Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's defeat ended a 11-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-3. As for Gulf Coast HEAT, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Families Instructing Students HomeSchool will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Classical Prep at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Gulf Coast HEAT won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Out-of-Door Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th.
