In what's become a running theme this season, the Bear Grass Charter Bears gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 56-27 win over Hobgood Charter at home. The win was familiar territory for Bear Grass Charter who now have four in a row.
Leading Bear Grass Charter to victory were Aubrey Dotson and Carolina Harrell. Dotson scored ten points along with seven steals and six rebounds, while Harrell scored ten points along with four steals. Harrell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Hylee (Al) Jarrett, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Bear Grass Charter is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Hobgood Charter, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bear Grass Charter will take on Mattamuskeet at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mattamuskeet comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last ten games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse. As for Hobgood Charter, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cape Hatteras at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
