The Maricopa Rams lost against the Shadow Ridge Stallions on January 12th, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Maricopa falling 61-47. They have not had much luck with Shadow Ridge recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Maricopa lost, one person who can't be blamed is Nate Barlow. Despite the final result, he scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Barlow has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Courtney Palmer, who scored ten points.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shadow Ridge to victory, but perhaps none more so than Seth Bohon, who scored 13 points. Weston Eubanks was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Maricopa's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Shadow Ridge, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Maricopa will take on Cesar Chavez at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cesar Chavez knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 17 matches -- so hopefully Maricopa likes a good challenge. As for Shadow Ridge, they will be playing at home against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
