Kenai Central was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in Northern Lights. Earlier in the week, the Kardinals triumphed over Skyview 14-8.
Soldotna extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Wasilla, 68-48. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Homer and Houston. The Mariners comes into the matchup ranked 16th in the state, while the Hawks ranks 23rd.
Kenai Central and the Panthers played the most hotly contested game in Northern Lights this week, with Kenai Central eventually emerging with a 14-8 victory.
