Vidalia is 4-0 against Emanuel County Institute since December of 2021, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Vidalia Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Vidalia's game two weeks ago was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Screven County.
Despite their loss, Vidalia saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Cristal Franklin, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Mischa Wardlaw, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 66-25, which was the final score in Emanuel County Institute's tilt against Screven County on Friday. Emanuel County Institute has struggled against Screven County recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 1-1 season records intact.
Vidalia beat Emanuel County Institute 57-45 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Vidalia repeat their success, or does Emanuel County Institute have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
