The Cooper Dragons lost against the St. Stephen's Episcopal Spartans back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Cooper took a 43-27 bruising from St. Stephen's Episcopal. While losing is never fun, Cooper can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1298th, while St. Stephen's Episcopal is ranked 648th).
Leading St. Stephen's Episcopal to victory were Kennedy Lartigue and Donnica Armstrong. Lartigue scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and six assists, while Armstrong went 6 for 8 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and 2 assists. Armstrong hasn't dropped below two steals for ten straight games. Jadyn Houston was another key contributor, scoring five points.
Cooper's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for St. Stephen's Episcopal, their win bumped their record up to 18-8.
Cooper does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Stephen's Episcopal also has no future games currently scheduled.
