The Darrow Ducks had to start their season on the road on Sunday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were dealt a 89-31 defeat at the hands of Western Reserve Academy. Darrow was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 57-14.
Among those leading the charge was Paris Matheos, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylah Wellington, who scored 12 points along with 7 rebounds.
Darrow's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Western Reserve Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-1.
