The Marshall Redhawks will square off against the Harper Creek Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Marshall sitting on six straight victories and Harper Creek on three.
Marshall came out on top against Pennfield on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run seventh inning. The Redhawks took their game against the Panthers 6-2.

Jaden Spence was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Brandon Baker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harper Creek). Their pitchers stepped up to hand Hastings a 15-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Beavers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 23, 2024 (when they won 19-4).
Harper Creek let Braxton Liss and Teegan Turnbull run wild. Liss went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI, while Turnbull went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Liss a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jimmy Leamy, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Harper Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Harper Creek's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.
