While Taft didn't have the best season last year (they finished 15-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against the Crockett Cougars by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Raiders in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won three in a row.

Taft's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Crockett, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
