The Robinson Knights will be playing at home against the Tampa Catholic Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Robinson will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Robinson was able to grind out a solid win over Braden River, taking the game 27-20.
ERIC ARCHIELD JR. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 294 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.2% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Jaylen Holman was another key contributor, gaining 92 total yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Tampa Catholic pushed their score all the way to 35 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough 66-35 loss at the hands of Jesuit. Tampa Catholic was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
The losing side was boosted by Trey Hedden, who threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.7 yards per attempt, and also punched in two rushing scores. Hedden is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tj Moore, who picked up 130 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Robinson's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Braden River, Freedom, and Tampa Catholic. As for Tampa Catholic, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Robinson barely slipped by Tampa Catholic in their previous matchup back in September, winning 25-24. Does Robinson have another victory up their sleeve, or will Tampa Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
