Given Imagine Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 18th, while West Phoenix is ranked 185th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Imagine Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Hayden Kelton, who scored 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Kelton is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Cassidy, who scored 11 points along with nine assists and seven steals.
Dream City Christian Open's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Imagine Prep, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
