After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lake Mead Academy, the Laughlin Cougars were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They strolled past Indian Springs with points to spare, taking the game 57-43. That's another feather in the cap for Laughlin, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Thunderbirds players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jacob Gourley, who scored 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vance Dilger, who scored 11 points.
Laughlin's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Indian Springs, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laughlin will take on White Pine at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Indian Springs, they will head out on the road to challenge Tonopah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Nevada (Tonopah is ranked 107th, while Indian Springs is ranked 108th).
