The Summit Hilltoppers were the 67-35 winner over the Plainfield Cardinals when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Summit fell just short of Plainfield by a score of 50-47.
Plainfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Imani Mullings out in front who scored eight points.
Summit's loss was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Plainfield, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Summit will take on Union Catholic in a holiday battle at TBD on Saturday at. Plainfield will be home for the holidays to greet Dayton on Saturday.
