Softball Recap: Mazama Wins Going Away Against Modoc

While Mazama didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-10), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Modoc Braves 12-2 on Saturday. Considering the Vikings have won five games by more than eight runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Mazama's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Modoc, they moved to 6-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mazama will venture away from home to take on Phoenix at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Modoc, they will challenge Weed at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
