AAAA Region 2 recap November 19, 2013
Veterans extended the longest winning streak in AAAA Region 2 this week by beating Locust Grove, 36-15. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Warhawks.
Mary Persons scaled the state rankings by moving to 69 from 96 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Bulldogs were able to move up by defeating Eagle's Landing 16-14.
Rutland's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hurricanes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Timori Northcutt has thrown for 1,433 yards and 17 touchdowns this season, while Shakenneth Williams has 33 catches for 808 yards.
Rutland lost to Griffin 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Travon Ogletree was a bright spot for the Hurricanes, as he in the defeat.
