It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Washington Panthers can now relate to. They received a tough blow on Saturday as they fell 34-18 to East St. Louis. Washington's loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.
East St. Louis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Robert (pops) Battle, who rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Rico Bond also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Washington's loss dropped their record down to 11-2. As for East St. Louis, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Washington does not have any more games scheduled as of now. East St. Louis also has no future games currently scheduled.
