He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit over four innings pitched. Johnson has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances. Johnson was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Matthew DeSimone was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 4-for-4.  Cole Johnson was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
 The  victory  made it two in a row for West Middlesex and  bumps their season record up to 8-11. As for Youngsville, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record  this season.
 Everything went West Middlesex's way against Youngsville when the teams last played  back in May of 2023 as West Middlesex made off with  a  10-3 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for West Middlesex since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
