Nik Nelson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024.
In other batting news, Charles O. Dickerson got a massive performance out of Ozzy Vogel-Moore, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave Vogel-Moore a new career-high. Anthony Muro was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Charles O. Dickerson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .536. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Spencer-Van Etten only posted an OBP of .300.
Meanwhile, Whitney Point came up short against Notre Dame on Wednesday and fell 7-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Crusaders: they've now lost seven in a row.
