FAMU DRS extended their losing streak to seven on Saturday, dropping them down to 3-8. They lost 17-5 to the Wakulla Christian School Saints. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-1 last Tuesday.
FAMU DRS saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kayden Randolph, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Isaiah Butler also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
As for Wakulla Christian School, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.7 runs over those games.
On Wakulla Christian School's side, Jay Brown and Sawyer Lawhon made a splash while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Brown pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Meanwhile, Lawhon struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. At bat, Brown went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI, while Lawhon got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Brown has been hot for a while, having posted at least one stolen base the last ten times he's played.

Andrews went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Johnson got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Johnson has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Blaise Foulks, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. FAMU DRS will venture away from home to take on Wewahitchka at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
