Softball Recap: Swanton's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Swanton entered their tilt with Tinora on Friday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Rams by a score of 11-8. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 2-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Alexa Faber made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

In other batting news, Jordyn Ramirez was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Gabbie Orner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Swanton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matches.

The victory got Swanton back to even at 12-12. As for Tinora, their loss dropped their record down to 8-11.

Swanton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-0 defeat against St. Ursula Academy on the 9th. Hopefully Tinora paid attention to the Bulldogs' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
