Foothill recap September 17, 2013
West Ranch scaled the state rankings by moving to 378 from 430 this week, the biggest jump in Foothill. The Wildcats were able to make move up by besting Knight 20-13.
Saugus took down Buena 45-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Chris Hamilton threw for 148 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 57 yards in the win.
Gage Tynan was the best receiver in the league this week as West Ranch topped the Hawks. Tynan racked up 4 receptions for 63 yards. Joey Lau helped West Ranch's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 54 yards.
Hamilton put up the best numbers in passing as the Centurions defeated the Bulldogs. Hamilton's favorite target this week was Marc Langford, who caught 8 passes for 67 yards.
He went 16-30 with 1 interceptions.
Alex Rassool was a key player and the best on defense this week as Jan Miller's team topped Knight. The 6-foot-0 defensive end grabbed 3.0 sacks.
Christian Parrish was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 21 carries, he ran for 167 yards as the Wildcats topped Corey Guilfoos' team. Teammate Chase Killingswarth added to the ground attack by rushing for 35 yards.
Hart's Brady White and Trent Irwin have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Foothill in both passing and receiving yards. 6-3 quarterback White has thrown for 979 yards this season, while Irwin has 14 catches for 284 yards. Parrish from West Ranch leads the league in rushing with 457 yards.
Saugus led the league in scoring this week by notching 45 points on Buena. Hamilton during the win.
