The East Union Urchins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Houlka by a score of 65-62. The contest was a 30-30 toss-up at halftime, but East Union was just barely outscored by Houlka in the second.
Houlka got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nehemiah Flemmings out in front who scored 22 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Flemmings has scored at least 25% of Houlka's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Foster, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds.
East Union now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Houlka, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
East Union will head out on the road to face off against Ingomar at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Houlka, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Falkner at 7:30 p.m.
