Arapahoe will challenge Dundy County-Stratton on the road at 7:30 PM on Thursday. Both of these teams might be coming in a bit winded after having run the length of the field multiple times (Arapahoe picked up 439 yards, Dundy County-Stratton 574).
Their game three weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Arapahoe, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Cambridge 36-34. Senior Gentry Anderson, who picked up 135 yards on the ground and accumulated 298 passing yards, was a major factor in Arapahoe's success. In fact, with 13 tackles Anderson was a force on both sides of the ball.
Last Friday, Dundy County-Stratton put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They were the clear victor by a 54-28 margin over Alma. With Dundy County-Stratton ahead 30-6 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-1. After the lofty point totals in their previous games, we'll see if they're able to heat things up even more while facing each other.
