Baseball Recap: Greene Central Extends Winning Streak to Four

Greene Central came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Southside Seahawks 15-0. Considering the Rams have won seven matches by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Easton Creech was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. Trey Eatmon was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Creech wasn't the only one making solid contact: Greene Central kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Rams are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Greene Central's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Southside, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.

Greene Central will venture away from home to challenge West Craven at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southside, they will host Lejeune at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Devil Pups have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.1 runs per game on average), something the Seahawks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
