After five games on the road, Crosspoint Christian is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Tulelake Honkers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Crosspoint Christian is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tulelake in their respective states (Crosspoint Christian is ranked 76th in Oregon, while Tulelake is ranked 1356th in California).
Last Tuesday, Crosspoint Christian came up short against North Douglas and fell 37-29. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Crosspoint Christian has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Tulelake scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 66-31 victory over Dunsmuir at home. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Tulelake as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Crosspoint Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Tulelake, their victory bumped their record up to 2-9.
Everything came up roses for Crosspoint Christian against Tulelake in their previous meeting back in February as the squad secured a 74-34 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Tulelake's Koen Brown, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Crosspoint Christian to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
