The Southeast Whitfield County Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 18th straight loss. They were outmatched by Central at home and fell 80-19. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Southeast Whitfield County has scored all season.
Khaven Cochran was his usual excellent self, shooting 6-for-9 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds for Central. Cochran also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Chace North, who scored 15 points.
Southeast Whitfield County's defeat was their ninth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Southeast Whitfield County will take on the Generals at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedartown will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 329th, while the Lions are ranked 74th).
