The Vincent Memorial Scots entered their tilt with the Valley Center Jaguars with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Vincent Memorial slipped by Valley Center 59-58 on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
It was another big night for Jorge Florentini, who scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Alex Adame, who scored 15 points.
Despite the loss, Valley Center still got an impressive performance from Carson Yoder, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Yoder has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kevin Garcia, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Vincent Memorial is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Valley Center, they bumped their record down to 10-7 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
