The Harvest Prep Academy Eagle's's six-game losing streak dating back to last season came to an end on Tuesday. They blew past Skyview 65-17 at home. Harvest Prep Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
It was another big night for Leo Cordova, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Harvest Prep Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jared Haro, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Harvest Prep Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3. As for Skyview, they bumped their record down to 3-3 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Prep Academy will square off against 91st Psalm Christian School at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. 91st Psalm Christian School has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Skyview's road trip will continue as they head out to face Ajo at 4:30 p.m. on January 17th.
