After a string of three wins, the Cambridge N/A's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They were the victim of a rough 57-36 defeat at the hands of Emma Willard. Cambridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 36-13.
Despite the loss, Cambridge saw an underclassman step up: Ashley Moses scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That's the first time this season that Moses pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Megan Day, who scored six points along with four steals.
Cambridge's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Emma Willard, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
Cambridge will look to defend their home court on Monday against Stillwater at 6:00 p.m. Stillwater presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cambridge in New York (Stillwater is ranked 125th, while Cambridge is ranked 319th). As for Emma Willard, they will head out on the road to square off against Hoosick Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
