The Highland Bulldogs will face off against the Mulberry Grove Aces at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Highland will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
While Highland's victory against Mater Dei wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs skirted past the Knights 7-5. The Bulldogs' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Kaitlyn Wilson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and four unearned) runs on nine hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Holly Sexton was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucy Becker, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Highland was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, while Mulberry Grove put up plenty of runs on Monday, the same can't be said for Ramsey. The Aces put the hurt on the Rams with a sharp 16-0 win. The matchup marked the Aces' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Lily Johnson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Johnson was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Lola Johnson was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Claire Mollett was another key player, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Mulberry Grove's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
