The Antietam Mountaineers couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They took a hard 65-48 fall against Conrad Weiser on Saturday. Antietam has struggled against Conrad Weiser recently, as their game on Saturday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was AJ Schiefly, who scored 16 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shawn Raffety, who scored 13 points.
Antietam's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Conrad Weiser, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Antietam will take on Boyertown at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Boyertown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. As for Conrad Weiser, they will be playing at home against Fleetwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
