Orthopaedic proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 13) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 17-15 victory over the Central City Value Jaguars. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-2 back in April.

Orthopaedic got a massive performance out of Melanie Garcia, who went 3-for-4 with six stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs Garcia has posted since back in April of 2024. Jessica Rodas was another key player, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with six stolen bases and three runs.

Orthopaedic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 20.0 runs over those games. As for Central City Value, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

Orthopaedic has already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against USC-MAE on the 12th. As for Central City Value, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 27-10 win against Animo Bunche on the 12th.
