 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Brendan Cooke, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.
 Athens was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Towanda only posted a  batting average of  .091.
