The Shenandoah Zeps's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 49-48 to Philo.
Drew Wright was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds for Philo. Another player making a difference was Talon Preston, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds.
Shenandoah has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Philo, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shenandoah will challenge Monroe Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Monroe Central will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. As for Philo, they will head out on the road to challenge Morgan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
