After three games on the road, Carbon is heading back home. They will take on the Manti Templars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Wednesday, things could have been worse for Carbon, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 60-42 loss to the Wildcats. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Carbon in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost four in a row.
Kahner Raby put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Lancaster, who scored five points along with three steals.
Carbon struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Manti pushed their score all the way to 57 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Emery by a score of 59-57. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), Manti still had to take the loss.
Carbon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Manti, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-6.
Carbon was taken down by the Templars 65-38 in their previous matchup back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Manti's Reggie Frischknecht, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Now that Carbon knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
