There's no place like home for The Summit Spartans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 32-17 victory over Independence on Friday. For Summit, this counts as revenge for the 26-21 defeat Independence walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Although Independence took the loss, they still got scores from Luke Mcneilly and Clay Davis.
Summit's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Independence, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Summit will challenge Antioch at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will head out on the road to face off against Smyrna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Smyrna is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.
