The Triway Titans will head out on the road to face off against the Orrville Red Riders at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Orrville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Triway, who comes in off a win.
Triway fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They snuck past Northwest with a 31-26 win on Friday.
Among those leading the charge was Brayden Holt, who threw for 302 yards and four touchdowns. Holt is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played. Alex Shearer also helped out as he racked up 118 receiving yards.
Triway's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Luke Belcher and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Orrville was the victim of a tough 35-13 loss at the hands of Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy on Friday. While losing is never fun, Orrville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy is ranked 182nd).
Triway's victory on Friday bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Orrville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Triway came up short against Orrville when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 23-15. Can Triway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
