Cocoa's Tarean Folston recorded the longest rushing play in 4A District 5 this season in his game against Bergen Catholic last week. Folston's team beat the Crusaders as he sprinted for 84 yards on the play and finished with 179 in all.
Cocoa extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Bergen Catholic, 24-14. The win marks fourth in a row for the John Wilkinson's team.
Cocoa's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jaelon Knowles has thrown for 188 yards this season, while Rakeem Murray has three catches for 96 yards. Folston leads the league in rushing with 685 yards.
The marquee game in 4A District 5 this week will be the clash between the Tigers and Jones. Cocoa enters the game ranked seventh in the state, while the Fightin' Tigers ranks 19th.
Two highly touted recruits will be in the spotlight when the Tigers and Jones meet this week. Cocoa features well-regarded senior Folston while Jerry Howard's team has Devin Washington, a sought after defensive end.
The Tigers were able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting Nunzio Campanile's team. Cocoa came in at 7 in the state poll after placing at number 29 last week.
