Meanwhile, Sandpoint had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Lakeland by a score of 6-1 on Tuesday.
The team relied heavily on Brennan Shaw, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Gavin Day, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI.
Sandpoint's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Coeur d'Alene, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.
Sandpoint's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Coeur d'Alene hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .383. It's a different story for Sandpoint, though, as they've only averaged .226. Will they be able to contain Coeur d'Alene's hitters?
