Brother Martin pushed their score all the way to 55 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 60-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of St. Charles Catholic. That's two games in a row now that Brother Martin has lost by exactly five points.
Meanwhile, Archbishop Rummel suffered a rough 59-37 loss at the hands of Edna Karr on Thursday.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Tj Duhe, who scored ten points. Jamard Jones was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Brother Martin's defeat dropped their record down to 18-12. As for Archbishop Rummel, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 21-15 record this season.
Brother Martin beat Archbishop Rummel 66-56 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brother Martin since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
