Powdersville won against Carolina Academy on Tuesday with 18 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Patriots didn't even let the St. Joseph's Catholic Knights on the board, marking the Patriots' second-straight 18-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The win made it two in a row for Powdersville and bumps their season record up to 10-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 0 runs in those games. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
