After five games on the road, Midway/Minto is heading back home. They will take on the St. John Woodchucks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Midway/Minto will be strutting in after a win while St. John will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Park River/Fordville-Lankin scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, Midway/Minto still came out on top. Midway/Minto took down Park River/Fordville-Lankin 71-57.
Meanwhile, St. John's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 62-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of North Prairie co-op [Rolla/Rolette].
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Tayden Longie, who scored 14 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Ezekiel Parisien was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds.
Midway/Minto's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for St. John, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.
