The Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past La Porte 61-35. Winning may never get old, but Plymouth sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Plymouth's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lena Jones, who dropped a triple-double on ten points, 15 rebounds, and 11 assists. That's the first time this season that Jones posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Rylee Mann, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Plymouth now has a winning record of 9-8. As for La Porte, they bumped their record down to 2-16 with that defeat, which was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Plymouth will challenge Concord at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for La Porte, they will head out on the road to face off against Chesterton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chesterton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
