For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Central Christian Academy and Marion meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Lions came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

Central Christian Academy easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-14.

Jaye McCurdy paced Central Christian Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. McCurdy got some help from Audrey Arnold and her 15 assists. Arnold also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Ally Chance, each putting up three.

Central Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 24-11. As for Marion, they dropped their record down to 11-19 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Central Christian Academy beat the Warriors by a score of 2-0 later that day.
