Weeki Wachee waltzed into their contest  on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Crystal River Pirates. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  last Tuesday.
 Jack Strong made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out nine batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most  runs  he has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Jacob Barnum was a standout: he scored a  run while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Jayden Allen, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-3.
 Weeki Wachee  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .514. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in three consecutive  matchups.
Weeki Wachee's record is now 13-9. As for Crystal River, they have  traveled a rocky road recently, having  lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-15 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weeki Wachee will welcome Citrus  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Crystal River, they will be playing at home against Springstead  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Pirates are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak.
